...for Talking to Dead People...
An Artist's Multiple in an edition of 100.
"...for Talking to Dead People..." is a poem disguised as a self-assembly electronics kit - it comes in a clear bag with an attractive label; in the bag is a printed circuit board and some real electronic components. The circuit board is "real", too. It was made by a specialist factory in North London, but its metallic surfaces will never connect together to do anything - no more than the Living will ever talk to the Dead. The packaging offers the promise of "Thanatophony", but the epigram on the back implies that not only Thanatophony but Death itself may be just an illusion (but, just in case, there is a handy list of Dead Peoples' telephone numbers to call, ranging from Amundsen, R. To Wittgenstein, L. - *see below)
"...for Talking to Dead People...", is an attempt to make objects that go out into the World on their own and tell stories to the people they come across."...for Talking to Dead People..." was produced in an edition of 100 and sells for £50.00 each. To order, e-mail the artist
